The "Web Filter Manager" of the Bookmark Properties dialog allows you to easily configure the web filters.

Web Filter Manager contains of :

• "Filters" tab of the Advanced Monitoring Settings of the Bookmark Properties dialog that allows you to manage the web filters;
• "Web-Page Text" tab of the Advanced Monitoring Settings that allows you to view the web-page text with the filtered text colored gray. Also, "Web Page Text" allows you easily create the web filter just by selecting the text and choosing "Ignore Selected Text" pop-up menu item.

Web Filtering Rules

"Web Filters" or "Web Filtering Rules" is the powerful way to monitor the important parts of the web pages and ignore the non-important content (like advertisement, visitor counters, current date/time, etc).

How to create web-filters (Select and Ignore)

The easiest way to create web-filter is to use the "Web Page Text" view of the Bookmark Properties dialog or Browser Pane of Check&Get.

To create the web-filter do the following:

1. Select the changed text with your mouse;
2. Click Right Mouse Button to display the pop-up menu;
3. Select the option:
   • Ignore Selected Text - to permanently ignore the changes in this part of web-page;
   • Monitor Selected Text - to monitor the selected part of web-page and ignore all the other web page content;

Check&Get automatically creates the web filter and add it to the web filter list associated to the bookmark.

Also, you can manually create the web filters to use the advanced and powerful settings, like regular expressions.

Managing the Web Filters

Buttons:

• "Add" - click to manually create the new Web Filtering rule and display the "Web Filter Dialog";
• "Edit" - edit the selected Web Filter.
• "Rename" - rename the Web Filter.
• "Delete" - delete the selected Web Filter.

Hint 1: Click the Web Filter in the list view to display the matched text at the "Web Page Text" View;

Hint 2: Uncheck ( ) the checkbox for selected filter to disable it without the deletion;

Web-Filter Properties Dialog

This dialog allows you to create or edit the Web Filtering rule.

Dialog contains two tabs:

• Simple: The easy-to-use web-filter. Allows to ignore the text between the pair of keyword strings.
• Advanced: Allows to create the web-filtering rule using the powerful "Regular Expression" syntax.

The two step of creation the web-fiter:

1. Enter the text selection conditions;

Select text from document begin - Check&Get will select the text from the begin;

Select text from Words - Check&Get will select text from the defined keyword string in text. Enter the keywords manually or click button to select the keywords.

Select text to document end - Check&Get will select the text to document end;

Select text to Words - Check&Get will select text to the defined keyword string in text. Enter the keywords manually or click button to select the keywords.

2. Chose the Actions with Selected text;

Ignore Selected Text - Check&Get will ignore the text, matched the conditions, i.e. the changes in this text be skipped. Ignored text colored grey color on the web-page snapshot. Use this option to avoid false change detection by ignoring the non-important dynamic content of web-page, like advertisements, visitor counts etc.

Monitor Selected Text - Check&Get will monitor the text matched the conditions and ignore the other content. Use this option if you would like to monitor some specified part of web-page, for example, the "New Products" column on your competitor Web Site.

Text Selection Options:

Case Sensitive - specifies whether you want Check&Get to distinguish between uppercase and lowercase characters when detecting for keywords.

Enable Masks (*, ?) - if this checkbox selected, Check&Get will treat the characters <*> and <?> as "special characters":

• ? character matches any single character.

Examples: "Check?Get" keyword will match the words in text: "Check&Get", "CheckNGet", "Check%Get" but would not match "CheckAndGet".

• * character matches any amount of any single characters.

Examples: "Check*Get" keyword will match the words in text: "Check&Get", "CheckNGet", "CheckAndGet", "CheckThisTextAndGet" but would not match "Check&Go"

Select All Matches

"Alert and do Actions When:" options

Any keyword found in changed text - select this option if you want to be notified when any keyword of Keyword Set found in changed line of web-page text

ALL keywords found in changed text - select this option if you want to be notified when all the keywords of Keyword Set are found on changed web-page.

Keyword Set Name - enter the name of this Keyword Set that will be displayed in Keyword Set List of Keyword monitoring Manager.

Disable for ALL bookmarks - if you select this checkbox, the keyword set will be globally disabled for all the bookmarks of the bookmark collection.

Enter the regular expression and click button to preview the selection results.
